What is a Parenting Orders Program (POP) ?
A program for parents and others caring for children when there is a family law dispute and assistance is required to support the development and care of children after separation or divorce.
Parents commonly attend an assessment and post separation parenting group (at different times) and you may request counselling or a specialist service for assistance with strengthening the wellbeing, security and safety of family members and to discuss parenting.

Who is the Program for?
Separated or divorced parents or grandparents who have ongoing issues that affect parenting and family relationships - participation can be voluntary or court ordered.
What does a Parenting Orders program Involve?
- Assessment – no cost - (bring any court orders)
- Group Work over 4 weeks focusing on communication, managing conflict and parenting - cost is dependent on income
- Referral to specialised services on request re: family violence, behaviour change, parenting, addiction, housing, mental health.
- Short Term Counselling (on request) for anyone in the family - cost is dependent on income.
- A Certificate of Attendance is provided to each participant.
